Who are we?

Established in 2019, Central Stump Grinding has quickly built a great reputation amongst our clients who include residential homeowners and commercial business owners, rural property owners, local councils (we have the contract for the parks and reserves throughout Taupō District Council), schools, parks, reserves, and golf courses.

The owner/operator of Central Stump Grinding is Matt Sellers. He started in the arbor-culture industry working as a contractor and mechanic in his late teens and has many years of experience using and servicing arbor-cultural machinery.

Matt has over a decade’s worth of experience and expertise in stump grinding and removal and established Central Stump Grinders because of his passion for the job – he finds every job has different challenges and enjoys using his expertise to enhance the landscaping of the properties that he’s called to work on.

Our Stump Grinding Equipment

We pride ourselves on achieving client satisfaction on every job. To do that, we need to best possible equipment – we employ powerful stump grinders from Dosko and FSI Powertech.

Our stump grinders are manoeuvrable which means difficult-to-access areas are not usually a problem. We can get into any garden or gateway that is 760mm wide or greater and, because our machines are able to be pushed upstairs, we can work on raised gardens and other hard-to-reach spots.
